+ How can Trinity/HPSI get us better pricing than we can get on our own?

Instead of your prices being based upon the purchasing power of a single organization, our vendor agreements are backed by the combined purchasing power of thousands of member organizations across the country. Our members access the entire multibillion-dollar group buying power of Trinity/HPSI and pay much less for goods and services from trusted vendors.

Specific to Foodservice - The pricing for Trinity/HPSI members with nearly all of our foodservice vendor partners is computed on the basis of the distributor’s “laid-in” cost (their actual purchase cost plus freight to their local warehouse) plus the margin specified in the HPSI agreement. Additionally, more than 100 manufacturers have agreed to provide substantial discounts and/or rebates on many items to Trinity/HPSI members, reducing your costs even further. Not only do we lock in low margins (or cost mark-ups), you get to access a large portfolio of manufacturer deviations throughout the distributor's inventory!

+ How much can we save?

The savings opportunity is unique to every organization but is usually substantial. From a total dollar savings perspective for all Trinity/HPSI members, foodservice provides greater savings than any other area. However, you may find even greater percentage savings on propane, janitorial supplies, office supplies, furniture and other products. We conservatively estimate that our members collectively save over $15 million every year.

+ Is there a membership fee?

There is no cost for participation in Trinity/HPSI.

+ How is Trinity/HPSI funded if membership is free?

We are funded by our vendor partners through a very small percentage of the sales volume generated by our members, and this is how we can bring this service to you at no charge and with no obligation.

+ What types of organizations can join Trinity/HPSI?

We serve many types of organizations, including camps, conference centers, retreat centers, churches (plus the schools and/or daycares they operate), private schools and colleges, rescue missions, residential treatment centers and more. + What foodservice distributors serve Trinity/HPSI members?

We have built one of the largest networks of food vendor partners available compared to other purchasing groups, and foodservice remains the top performing area where Trinity/HPSI members save the most in dollars every year. If your organization is not yet taking advantage of one of the HPSI agreements with Sysco, US Foods, Gordon Food Service, Performance Food Group/Reinhart, Ben E. Keith, Shamrock, Martin Brothers, Feesers, SGC Foodservice, Upper Lakes, Cheney Brothers, Merchants Foodservice, Harbor Wholesale, or Cash-Wa Distributing, we would be happy to prepare a personalized cost comparison and savings opportunity analysis for you.
